Ratings were up this year for MTV's Movie Awards, since Twilight was super-hyped and Andy Samberg hosted. And of course there was the uniquely MTV red carpet!:

Hayden Panettiere, Anna Farris, and Kristen Bell all wore the same dress, for the most part. Hayden wins.
Taraji Henson's mini's classic L.A. rocker chic.
Too many cutouts for the red carpet on Leighton Meester, but reminiscent of Margiela, which I love. It would work better walking down the street in a Blondie-esque music video.
I had not really heard of Ashley Tisdale before, but props to working purple leather and those cagey gladiator sandals. Is she standing in front of a wind machine?
Spiderman-esque for Kristen Stewart. The sneakers are rad.
Sienna Miller looks like she stepped out of Studio 54 without the camp factor.
WORST
LC's skirt is a trend gone wild in the wrong direction, hair too much like a mane,
and red lipstick and polish matchy-matchy.
Sandra Bullock should avoid donning black stockings and heels in the summer.
Megan Fox's slicked back hair seems greasy, and her dress looks as if it's made out of wallpaper in a funeral parlor.
I want to like this dress, but it's patchwork quilt gone avant-garde. Rumer Willis's hair pulled up into a messy bun just accentuates her angular face.
Almost Greek goddess, also bears a strong resemblance to a toga made out of a tablecloth. There is fashion, and then there is art.
