Oscar Fashion 2008

Admittedly, I only saw There Will Be Blood out of all the Oscar-nominated films this year, but I have at least noted my picks for best and worst Oscar frock:

Marion Cotillard's dress by John Paul Gaultier with its white scalloping inspired recollections of mermaids for this French chanteuse that won the Oscar for Best Actress in La Vie En Rose.

I still haven't seen Juno yet (although I read the script, which I downloaded off of the Fox Searchlight website, and unfortunately didn't like that much). Not a fan of Diablo Cody's penchant for leopard prints in Dior, especially matched with pirate earrings. Arrrgh. Whatever, not that it matters what the Oscar winner for Best Original Screenplay wears anyway, right?
