Podcast and slide show in the New Yorker about Godard, Truffaut and the French New Wave.
Both Jean-Luc Godard and Francois Truffaut were journalists that wrote for the cinema publication Cahiers du Cinema before they were film directors. I actually own a copy of "Hitchcock", by Truffaut, an interview/film analysis on Alfred Hitchcock that was published in the '80s.
